daylang did not begin as a company roadmap. It began as a home learning tool.
With a middle-school third-year student and an elementary sixth-grader, English work scatters across workbooks, YouTube, and vocabulary lists. I wanted one place to see “What did we do today?” and to build CSAT-style reading skill early.
So the product goals became:
- 10 CSAT-level English items every day (never a dumbed-down “sample” difficulty)
- Guests see the same difficulty, limited to 2 problems + 2 words
- Explanations only get easier in three layers — sentence · logic · trap — while passages stay hard
- Package it as a web app so other families can use it later
This blog records short product notes by date — half parenting log, half engineering log.

daylang은 처음부터 서비스 회사의 로드맵이 아니라, 집에서 쓰는 학습 도구로 시작했습니다.
중3과 초6, 두 아이의 영어를 매일 챙기려다 보면 교재·유튜브·단어장이 흩어집니다. “오늘 뭐 했지?”를 한곳에서 보고, 수능형 독해 감각도 미리 붙이고 싶었습니다.
그래서 목표를 이렇게 잡았습니다.
- 매일 수능 영어 수준 문제 10문항 (난이도를 맛보기용으로 낮추지 않음)
- 비회원도 같은 난이도로 2문항 + 단어 2개만 맛보기
- 해설은 문장 · 논리 · 함정 세 단으로만 쉽게 풀고, 지문 자체는 쉽게 만들지 않음
- 나중에 다른 가정·학생에게도 열어 쓸 수 있게 웹으로 정리
이 블로그에는 그날그날 제품이 바뀐 점을 짧게 남깁니다. 자녀 학습 일지와 개발 일지를 같이 적는 셈입니다.
